April - time is marching on.
I'm not that sure how long I will be keeping this photographic hoo-hah up for but for the moment I will continue.
April 12th. Goodbye. Following the death of my friend Paul King, I have been re-evaluating my life and have decided that the time has come to turn some of my "Should have done" items into "I must do". This means leaving this wonderful project with all of you marvellous people. It's been fun. If people want to, they can contact me at [email protected]
April 11th. Day off to get my thoughts in order.
April 10th. I can't make sense of it. I can't make sense out of the unexpected passing away of Paul King @paul2782
This is a filler from last year. It's a stainless steel sculpture in the foyer of the Royal Society of Arts, London.

April 9th. Able to leap small buildings in one bound! It's Super "only here for the Easter holidays in our local supermarket to make you spend more of your hard earned money" Rabbit. OK. I confess, seeing this while waiting for the bill is the only time I have had today to photograph anything. I'll come quietly officer...
April 8th. Glassy eyed. Not much time for photography today. This was a window in a church in East Sussex. The sun shone through at the right moment and I snapped it. The zoom blur was added in Photoshop later
April 7th. Nothing says "I love you!" like... a toilet roll. We buy ours in bulk and as I was unpacking the latest batch, I noticed that one of the tubes had been bent into a heart shape during packaging or transport. I had a 365project moment and photographed it. These were all shot with off camera flash with a softbox to spread the light.
April 6th. Meant to be. Jae asked me to create a picture around the theme of "Meant to be". Seeing as Donna found our wedding photographs this week after they had been missing for ten years, I thought that they would be a good backdrop for my shot for the day. We had a great time looking through them, spotting old friends, how dark my hair was, how fat so-and-so has become etcetera - it was great fun.
When Donna and I started courting and right up until the day we wed, people were saying "It will never last!" (apparently I was a womaniser and Donna was a man-eater - not that either of us fitted the descriptions). Here we are twenty seven years on (almost) and everything is still going strong.
Here you go @lifepause - sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you.

April 5th. Squirrelling out secrets. Having spent a day on a course about exposure metering and in camera colour, I was amazed at how many little secrets are hidden inside my camera. I was also amazed to find out just how much my camera manufacturer doesn't care to tell me (and your camera manufacturer is probably no different either). Anyway, it hasn't left me too much time to do a shot today (hence the kernel hidden in the shell) then again, I have a secret that nobody knows about either and I am not going to tell you what it is... yet.
April 4th. What is it? I came across four of these cast iron marker posts whilst out for a walk yesterday. Now, being the smart@rse that I am, I know exactly what it is but the question is, "do you?". I will leave you all guessing until later (unless some other smart@rse comes up with the answer!)
April 3rd. Sun and stars This retirement thing is tiring. We decided to take a walk along the North Downs Way near Reigate today and came across a small rotunda that had been donated to the Reigate council many years ago. Inside was the most delicious mosaic ceiling. Unfortunately as you can see, the years and vandalism have taken their toll and the repairs have been substandard (to say the least)
April 2nd? Nah! Couldn't be bothered today.
April 1st. Purely by accident... When the going gets tough... the weak wanted to go to the pub! Near the end of the Borough Market meet up last weekend after I had been accused of walking too quickly, I then got accused of ulterior motives for taking this photograph. I did it because of the fascinating reflections in the window and the large, bare breasted female didn't even come into the reckoning... honestly... Phwoarrrr!
